Just announced is the DSi XL. It has a 4.2 inch screen better battery life and a whole new type of stylus. The new screen is much bigger then the current DSi screen and much much bigger than the original DS screen. The new battery will last 1-3 hours longer than the DSi depending on how you play. And finally the new stylus its called a "Touch Pen" because it resembles a pen more than the stylus that all the other DS's and the DSi took. It will arrive in The us in the first quarter of 2010 and will come in win red (pictured), dark brown and natural white. We will probably learn more at next months E3.

Wii Sports Resort Review

Yesterday Wii Sports Resort was released to North America coming with the game was the Wii MotionPlus. When you first start the game you will have to watch a instruction video about how to remove, attach and calibrate the MotionPlus. Then
The game will randomly chose a Mii and you will skydive down onto Wuhu Island. The Skydiving game is good to get familiar to the enhanced controls for the game but when you land you will want move onto different games. Also in the Air sports category is Flying where you fly a play around the island collecting information points around the island. Or you can Dogfight with a friend and shoot each other out of the sky. There are two returning games from the original Wii Sports they are Golf and Bowling. Golf is about the same from Wii Sports only thing new is that their are some new courses. As for bowling it is more challenging than the original a little more realistic and will take some time to get used to. There are two types of basketball games a 3-Point contest and a pick-up game. The motion for shooting is done in three parts. 1 Press the "B" button to pick a ball up from the cart, 2 Raise your arm, 3 move your wist or arm back 4 move your wist or arm forward. In other words the Wii explains it to ringing a bell above your head. Archery is a very fun game you pull back with the Wiimote, press the "Z" button, line up your shot according to the wind, and release "Z". Archery is one of my favorites in the game. Next Up is wake boarding in this game you hold the Wiimote on its side and go from side to side going over waves to do tricks and get points. Swordplay takes great control over the MotionPlus in this you simply try to hit your opponent off the platform into the water my favorite mode in this game is "Speed Slice" where you have to cut a abject on a certain angle before your opponent does. Power Cruising is another favorite of mine. You can race a friend or go through check points to reach the goal before time runs out. Cycling is nothing special, You pump your arms and turn by moving your arms on a slant its fun but not all that great. However Frisbee is very fun the MotionPlus can tell every angel the remote is on so you have to get it just right same goes with Frisbee golf which is another great game. Canoeing is fun but take some getting used to. Table Tennis or Ping-Pong is awesome . to Hit the ball you simply swing the Wiimote but to get spin on the ball you have to mimic the way you would really hit the ball as if you were really playing Table Tennis. Overall Wii Sports Resort is a great game and takes good control with the MotionPlus. If you love Sports games and Wii movement this game will be great for you. I've only played the game for maybe 2 to 3 hours and I love it. On a scale from 1 to 10 I give it a 10!

New Legend of Zelda for Wii

In the second day of the E3 there was a new Legend of Zelda announced to ONLY the press and no one else heard of it until now. There isn't much info on this game only this it is in the making and will be realised in 2010 we'll probably hear more about it t the next E3. Nintendo has no even come up with a official title for it(example Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess). However by the looks of the poster there will be a new character probably to Help Link on his quest similar to Minda.

New Wii Attachment

I was on the Japan Nintendo website looking around again to see what new releases might me coming up in North America well I click on the Japan E3 link and I found some games that we didn't hear at the North American E3 but nothing that interesting. However I found some thing that was very interesting a new Wii attachment. I copy and pasted what I found into a Japanese translator and this is what I got as a result.

"Wii VitalitySensor which is the Nintendo latest innovative article expands the charm of the video game. Wii VitalitySensor senses the various signals which the body which I had including the pulse of the user rises from and offers information about the world where it is among bodies to the user."

Then I found it translated on the web site in English this time it said...

"Wii Vitality Sensor: Nintendo’s newest groundbreaking product, the Wii Vitality Sensor, expands the appeal of video games. It will initially sense the user’s pulse and a number of other signals being transmitted by their bodies, and will then provide information to the users about the body’s inner world"

So all that it does it take your blood pressure strange I wonder how it will be used in games.

DSi to get Facebook Appliction

Taken from the Japan Nintendo web site full credit to them.
Nintendo announced the new feature that direct Facebook could upload the photograph which I photographed with built-in Nintendo DSi camera in Nintendo DSi. Using FacebookConnect, I enjoy a photograph with an individual in Facebook, and it becomes still easier to share it with a friend and a family again. This function is enabled by system update of Nintendo DSi performed in the summer of this year.

Metroid Prime Trilogy

Since the Metroid prime series is over and there is a new Metroid game coming out nintendo will release Metroid Trilogy for the Wii. The game will have 3 out of the 5 (that's right there were five) Metroid Primes in it's series. The three games will be Metroid Prime 1, 2, and 3. The two that are not on this disc are Metroid Prime: Hunters and Pinball. All three of the games will be working with the Wii controls. Finally my advice if you have Metroid Prime 3:Corruption I would say sell it and use the money to buy this game if you are a fan of the Metroid Series.

In other news the DSi will have a new color and it is red and will be released in Japan on July 11 which means probably a month or so until it arrives in North America.

June Releases

First up is "Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2010" which will take advantage of the Wii MotionPluse. The Tiger Woods games are good because they really take control of the Wii movement. I Only have Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2008 which was a good game, I have no clue about PGA 2009, but I'm guessing that this one's gonna be good because of the MotionPluse being used and how PGA 2008 was. I'd say if your a golf fan buy it or if your not sure rent it.

Second is "Guitar Hero:Smash Hits". Which has the best songs from all the previous Guitar Hero games and some new ones.

Next is "The Conduit" which is a shooter game (in first person view). In this game fight off aliens and will be compatible with the Wii Speak.

And last is Wii Sports resort. Which is a squeal to Wii Sports. Although that come out on July 26 for more info on this game check out some of my other posts.

Pokemon Silver and Gold remake

Awhile ago a remake of pokemon was announced and it was for Gold and Silver. They will be coming out. Like the Remake of Red and Blue being called "Fire Red" and "Leaf Green" they will be called "Heart Gold" and "Soul Silver". The games are expected to arrive in Japan in September 2009 which probably means they will be in North America around December or January. Obviously it will be on the DS and like Pokemon Yellow the starter pokemon can walk behind you and follow you around. Also being released with this game is the "Poke-Walk" (as seen in the picture above) which is like a pedometer only with a twist. You know how in the day-care in the pokemon games how as you walk the gain EXP points? Well thats how this works only you walk around instead of your character.

Nintendo E3 Review

Well the E3 happened and there are many new and good looking games coming to the Wii in the next months/years. I was hoping for a new Legend of Zelda for the Wii but that didn't happen but there are other games to fill that gap. There Wii Fit Pulse which will let you customize your workout and take control of the Wii MotionPluse. Metroid: Other M which will not be first person point of view but not a side scrolling game. New Super Mario Bros. Wii which will be a sequel to New Super Mario Bros. which appeared on the DS. Super Mario Galaxy 2. Mario and Luigi RPG 3 which instead be called Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. In which Mario & Luigi are shrunken, eaten by Bowser and then survive to fight their way from the inside out (gross). Wario Ware D.I.Y. which there is no telling whats gonna go on in that game. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explores of the Sky and Picticross 3D for the DS. And for the DSi ware Mario V.S. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again.
For more games visit
And here's a video if you dont feel like reading or want more info then what I gave you

DJ Hero

At the e3 a new music Hero type game was announced and that is DJ hero. I think it looks kinda bad but that depends on what games your into.

Wii Motion Plus Update

Its almost June (or already is depending on when you read this) and that means something new is comming to the Wii. If you have been following this blog from the start then you might know what I'm talking (typing) about drumroll please ... its the Wii MotionPluse accessory. The Wii MotionPluse (motion pluse as one word) will be released speratly and with the new game Wii Sports Resort which is the sequal to Wii Sports. Wii Sports Resort will be the first game to work with the new attachment and then probaly most of the games after that. Thw Wii MotionPlus will be released on June 8th for the price of $20 and will come with a new type of Wii Jacket to fit the wiimote and its new accessory.

Punch Out!!

Punch Out!! is almost here's a little info on the game. In some ways its like boxing in Wii Sports Boxing. But to dodge hits you move the joy-stick left or right to doge. Obviously you use the wiimote and nunchuck to throw punches. In between rounds your trainer Doc (yes the Doc from the old Punch out games) will give you hints about who you are fighting. After a series of hits you can get a power up to do some serious damage to your opponent. Well that's about it for now Punch Out!! is coming soon and because it was developed by Nintendo that means it comes with Club Nintendo points!

Personal Tranier: Walking

Remember awhile ago I posted about a DS attachment. Well that game is coming to America. The price is unknown but I can tell it wont be $30 because it comes with two thats right TWO pedmoiters to track how your doing. The game is kinda like a Wii Fit for the DS because you get to create a Mii type character for your playing file. On the back of the display box it mentioned diffrent ways to use the pedomiter such as putting it on your dogs collar.

Update Mario & Sonic at the Winter Olymipc Games

Awhile ago I posted about the next Mario & Sonic st the olymipc games... game. Events include Bobslead, Skiing & Snowboarding and speed skating. The Wii balance board will be used in this game. Most likely for Skiing and Snowboarding. Probaly all characters from the origonal will be in it or some gone and some new ones or all old ones and new ones. It will have 2 player mode and unknow about what will go on with Wi-fi.

Upcoming New Play Control Games

Soon to be released in America is Donkey Kong:Jungle Beat. Snooping around on the Japan Nintendo site I found even more. First up Metroid Prime, controls will probaly be similar to Metroid Prime 3. Next is Pikmin 2, controls probaly exactly the same as New Play Control: Pikmin.

Excitebots: Trick Raceing

From the makers of Excite Bike and Excite Truck comes Excitebots. I'm kinda comparing it as a mix of Excite Truck and SPOG racing only without the weapons. The graphics don't look as good as Excite Truck but the game is probably just as good. You get stars the same way as Excite Truck such as Tree Runs, Crashed, Air, ECT. However it is very different from Excite Truck. One new thing is that you can used the wii wheel (well you can use that with Excite Truck too but this time is easier to use it). Another thing is that it goes on Wi-Fi and Mini-games. Some mini-games are Soccer, Blowing, and throwing something into a clowns mouth (creepy) which you will see in the video on the games web site. For more info check out

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks trailer

Link has a new game on the DS. Here is the first trailer it will probably have the same controls as Phantom Hourglass.

The launch colors for the Dsi will be light blue and black.

New Play Conotrol

Some of you might have already heard this but there are a few gamecube games coming to the Wii. They are Mario Power Tennis, Pikmin, and Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. They will be released tomorrow (3/11/09) at a price of $30. I think Mario power tennis will probably be the best and I guessing that Pikmin wont have that much Wii movement. Also Donkey Kong Jungle Beat will not be released tomorrow for some reason its only going to be Mario Power Tennis and Pikmin.

Thursday, March 5, 2009

Gardening Mama

Some of you might already know this but for some who don't Mama from the Cooking Mama series is in an all new game called (you gussed it) Gardening Mama. It is for the DS and not the Wii. It will probaly be like all the other games with a bunch of mini game only this time planting stuff. I can't really take a guess anything about the controls because i've never played any of the Cooking Mama games on the DS.

Dsi Colors

OK, we got about a month to go until the DSi's release in America. So far all that we've been seeing are black & white as the colors and If you have been to lately there is a light blue on two. The starter colors are probably going to be black and white and after a month or so light blue will be able to be purchased. After that maybe in a year or so we'll get the colors shown above which are pink, lime green, and dark blue. They are not available in Japan yet so it will be awhile until we get them. We Ski & Snowboard

The other day I went skiing for the day and there was a terrian course set up in the middle of a trail. My brother whent on it once he got up to the grinding rail he fell... pretty badly. What does this have to do with a video game?, you might ask. Well you can avoid this happening to you by getting We Ski & Snowboard. The diffrence between this game and We ski is a few things. First off now you can snowboard (Duh). Second you can choose between two hills the origonal one and a completely new one. Finally there are new challanges a four player mode and stunt courses. (Hopefully my brother be able to do good on those)

Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympic games

Coming late to shelves this year is Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games only this time winter version. It was only announced but with less that a year to go until the winter games I guessing that it will be out at around Thanksgiving(USA). It will be on both the Wii and DS hopefully this time with multiplayer Wi-Fi.

Boom Blox: Bash Party

Boom Blox is back in Boom Blox:Bash Party for the Wii. It will have four new worlds, many new features, new characters, Wi-Fi playability and over 400 new levels! Producers of the games have said that they will remove some of the junk things from the original game like the hose. There will also be new blocks and bocks will also be in new shapes like cylinders. One new thing is "The Sling Shot" where you choose what you want to throw, pull back on the Wiimote, and watch it fly! The game will also have you thinking more because there is more that one way to solve a level. Because of this in the under water world (that's what I'm calling it) The throw items will move slower and in Space Worlds there will be less gravity. Finally you will be able to download new content.

Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings

Indy is back but this time he's not Lego. Not much is know about the game but of what I've read it seems that it takes place before The Temple of the Crystal Skull because Indy is back to fighting Nazis. Also the Wiimote will act as Indy's whip. The game is basically you as Indy fighting your way to the treasure using anything as a weapon.Indy's fight style in the game is his usual one strangling people, fighting with fists, strangling people with his whip, and of course using his whip. (duh)

Dsi Ware

I recently found out that DSi ware is more of new thigs to do in games . Like new Levels You cans also buy short games like Dr.Mario. Some games that you can buy new versions of are...

Master of Illusion

Brain Age: Literature Edition

Brain Age: Science Edition

Club House Games

and many others.

A new way to play

Remember how I was saying that there was a "Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat" for the Wii and the same thing with Mario Tennis for the Wii? Well I was wrong. All the games will be the same as the gamecube ones only made for wii controls.

Mario Tennis Wii

I take that back about the last post! I decided to snoop around the Japan Nintendo site again, and I along with pictures of Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat Wii and Pikmin 3 I also found a picture of Mario Tennis Wii! No idea about the America release though. Sorry about the wiers quality of the picture my computer must have done something by mistake.

Nothing New

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. There been nothing new happening in the world of Nintendo besides virtual consoles and Wii ware games coming out but I don't post about them. In case you here something put it in a comment and I'll look in to it.
